Control Center Toolbar

The Control Center Toolbar cleans up the NinjaTrader default toolbar and adds some new features. Menu names have been removed to make room on the toolbar for more AddOn tools to be added.

Hovering over the icons will fly out the name of the menu item.

Boost NT Performance

Windows shares processor resources between all running processes based upon their priority level. If a process (application) has a higher priority level, it gets more processor resources for better performance compared to a process having lower priority.

"Boost NT" can set priority for NinjaTrader to run with a High, Above normal, Normal, Below normal, or Low priority level in Windows based on your needs instead of the default priority. The changes you make to the priority level of NinjaTrader are only temporary and not set permanently. Once the NinjaTrader platform is closed Windows will forget the priority level you set for it. If you wish to reset the priority for NinjaTrader, you will need to do it from this icon one time each time you log onto the NinjaTrader platform. When set to the highest priority, the rocket will turn red so you have quick visual confirmation that the NinjaTrader platform is running at the highest priority.

Exit

Many users moving from previous versions of NinjaTrader to NinjaTrader 8 almost immediately notice that the "exit" menu item has been removed. Instead, there is only a very small "x" on the control center menu bar top right corner. This small X can be difficult to select for those with small monitors running at higher resolutions. The X and the minimize and maximize buttons are very close together and can take precision to select.

Therefore, we've added an "Exit" icon to the control center toolbar, that is larger, as a convenience for those struggling with the small x close button. You will be prompted to save your open workspaces before closing NinjaTrader.

Save all open workspaces and Restart

Sometimes it becomes necessary to restart NinjaTrader. If you find yourself doing this on occasion, it can be cumbersome to exit, save, and restart each time. This handy tool will do it all for you with just one click. If you have any open positions you will be prompted to close any and all open positions before the save and restart can complete.

Futures and forex trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. An investor could potentially lose all or more than the initial investment. Risk capital is money that can be lost without jeopardizing ones’ financial security or life style. Only risk capital should be used for trading and only those with sufficient risk capital should consider trading. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results.

    Hypothetical Performance Disclosure:
Hypothetical performance results have many inherent limitations, some of which are described below. no representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown; in fact, there are frequently sharp differences between hypothetical performance results and the actual results subsequently achieved by any particular trading program. One of the limitations of hypothetical performance results is that they are generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight. In addition, hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of financial risk of actual trading. for example, the ability to withstand losses or to adhere to a particular trading program in spite of trading losses are material points which can also adversely affect actual trading results. There are numerous other factors related to the markets in general or to the implementation of any specific trading program which cannot be fully accounted for in the preparation of hypothetical performance results and all which can adversely affect trading results
